While most cardboard headsets will work, I recommend the View Master headset because it's designed with kids in mind. It is made of hard plastic and is durable. Plus there is an adjustable focus knob and the head phone jack.  Currently the application will not work with the Samsung Gear VR unless you install specific software to work with cardboard apps.  I intend to support the Google Daydream headset in the near future.
